Non readers don’t get it.
It’s not just reading of the book- it’s the procuring of the book then actually owning the book. Shelving the book in the perfect spot- can they understand that? It’s an art and a science.
Hunting down the perfect read can be an expensive and timely task. We all know that we want every book we buy to be a five star read, right? Well, some books are a two star read maybe a DNF but the hope we carry to possibly love it in the future is exiting! It’s our bookish future!
When asked again, simply sip your tea like Kermit and give them the side eye . They won’t ask again.
